Acosta wins rain-affected Malaysian MotoGP sprint
Marc Marquez finished second and Marco Bezzecchi third after early leaders Alex Marquez and Ai Ogura lost their chances of victory.

Pedro Acosta took victory in the MotoGP sprint at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia in Sepang, completing the race in 20 minutes and 4.09 seconds as rain affected parts of the circuit.
Ducati Lenovo's Marc Marquez finished 0.578 seconds behind Acosta, while Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia Racing secured third, 1.310 seconds off the winner.
Pole starter Alex Marquez of BK8 Gresini had led during the opening lap, with SuperFile Trackhouse rider Ai Ogura running second. Marc Marquez slipped to fourth in the early stages.
Rain in some sectors prompted a white flag on lap three, but most riders stayed on their bikes rather than switching. Alex Marquez crashed on that lap, putting Ogura ahead of Acosta.
Ogura lost ground with three laps remaining. Acosta passed him to take the lead, with Marc Marquez and Bezzecchi also moving ahead of the SuperFile Trackhouse rider.
