Dottie Ardina shot an even-par 72 to sit joint 40th after the opening round of the LPGA Q-Series Qualifying Stage in Venice, Florida, leading the four Filipinas competing at Plantation Golf and Country Club.

Bianca Pagdanganan returned a 75 on the Bobcat course for a share of 112th. Tomi Arejola posted 77 at Panther to tie for 151st, while Abby Arevalo’s 81 at Bobcat left her joint 187th.

Ardina offset three bogeys with three birdies. After dropping a shot at the first hole, she birdied the fourth and fifth. Bogeys at the seventh and 11th were followed by a birdie at the 12th, and she completed each nine in 36.

Pagdanganan made four birdies but lost four strokes across holes 14 to 16. Arejola’s round included a triple bogey at the 10th, while Arevalo finished without a birdie after recording two double bogeys and five straight bogeys from the seventh.

The field of 198 is competing for advancement, with the top 55 and ties progressing to the Final Q-Series at RTJ Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove in Mobile, Alabama, on November 19-23.

The final stage covers 90 holes, with a cut after 72. The top 25 and ties will earn LPGA Tour membership for 2027, while everyone completing all 90 holes will receive Epson Tour status for next year.
