Ateneo survives FEU comeback to end three-game skid
The Blue Eagles won 75-72 at home, with Kieffer Alas scoring 21 points as both teams finished the game with 4-4 records.

Kieffer Alas made two decisive free throws as Ateneo de Manila University beat Far Eastern University at the Blue Eagle Gym on 24 October 2026, halting a three-game slide in UAAP Season 89 men's basketball.
Ateneo's 75-72 victory came despite a late challenge from the Tamaraws after the hosts had built an 18-point advantage. The Blue Eagles entered the match following losses to La Salle, FEU and UST.
An Alas three-pointer gave Ateneo a 66-54 cushion early in the final quarter. Jorick Bautista then drove FEU's comeback, hitting three shots from beyond the arc during a stretch that brought the score to 72-73 with 3.7 seconds left.
Bautista's subsequent foul put Alas on the free-throw line, where he made both attempts. Alas recorded 21 points, four rebounds and two steals, shooting 3-of-7 from three-point range. Jared Bahay added 15 points, four assists and two rebounds.
For FEU, Bautista contributed 18 points alongside four rebounds and four steals. Mo Konateh had 12 points and 16 rebounds. The result left both teams at 4-4.
