Avaricio targets fourth season title at ICTSI Apo Golf Classic
The defending champion faces 23 challengers in Davao City after beating Tiffany Lee by one shot at South Pacific.
Chanelle Avaricio will seek a second consecutive victory and her fourth title of 2026 at the ICTSI Apo Golf Classic in Davao City on October 27. The ₱1.25-million tournament is the final event of the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour season.
Avaricio returns to defend her Apo title after finishing one stroke ahead of Tiffany Lee at South Pacific. Her other victories this season came at Pinewoods and Summit Point. A win at Apo would equal the four titles she collected in 2022.
In last year's Apo tournament, Avaricio pulled away after a closely contested opening round. She shot 68 in the second round and went on to win by seven strokes. Her competition schedule has also included appearances on the China Tour.
The field includes 23 challengers, three of them amateurs. Yvon Bisera is pursuing a third title this season, while Lee recently ended a two-year wait for a title with victory at Pueblo de Oro.
Daniella Uy, Harmie Constantino and Princess Superal are also competing. Sarah Ababa, Mafy Singson and Chihiro Ikeda have trained at Apo, Davao's oldest golf course. Other entrants include Rev Alcantara, Pamela Mariano, Gretchen Villacencio, Marvi Monsalve, Velinda Castil, Monica Mondario, Seoyun Kim and Eunhua Nam.
