Baggott leads Indonesia players’ valuation gains after ASEAN Cup win
Six naturalised Indonesia players featured among Southeast Asia’s top 10 valuation gainers, according to Bolasport, citing Transfermarkt data.

Indonesia defender Elkan Baggott’s estimated transfer value rose six-fold to €1.2 million following the national team’s 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup triumph, according to Bolasport, which cited Transfermarkt figures.
The Millwall centre-back had previously been valued at €200,000 and recorded the biggest increase on the regional list. Goalkeeper Maarten Paes followed him, with a €500,000 gain taking his valuation to €2 million.
Indonesia’s naturalised players accounted for six of the 10 largest valuation increases in Southeast Asia. Alongside Baggott and Paes were Nathan Tjoe-A-On, Justin Hubner, Luke Vickery and Joey Pelupessy. Thailand supplied the remaining four players: Anan Yodsangwal, Peerawat Akkratum, Jude Soonsup-Bell and Iklas Sanron.
The valuation gains followed Indonesia’s victory over Thailand in the final on October 5, 2026. The teams were level at 2-2 after 120 minutes before Indonesia won the penalty shootout 4-2, securing their first Southeast Asian championship.
After the tournament, Bangladesh’s national team also proposed a friendly rematch with Indonesia.
