Bastianini tops Malaysia MotoGP FP2 as Martin finishes last
Alex Marquez finished second at Sepang ahead of Marco Bezzecchi, while Marc Marquez ended the session eighth.

Enea Bastianini went fastest in the second free practice session for the 2026 Malaysian MotoGP at Sepang on 31 October, taking the lead in the closing five minutes. Jorge Martin finished 21st and last after appearing to struggle with his Aprilia RS-GP26.
Alex Marquez initially set the pace before Marco Bezzecchi moved ahead and held first place through the opening 15 minutes. Marquez briefly regained the lead late in the session, but Bastianini then overtook him. None of the riders improved on Bastianini’s best effort before practice ended.
Martin inspected his rear tyre before returning to the pits. He made another run but appeared dissatisfied when he came back in, showing frustration with the bike’s performance.
Behind the leading three, Ai Ogura placed fourth, followed by Pedro Acosta, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Luca Marini. Marc Marquez, who had been running 10th earlier, finished eighth. Franco Morbidelli took ninth, with Francesco Bagnaia completing the top 10.
