Bigetron MY (BTRM) secured an upper-bracket semi-final meeting with defending champions Selangor Red Giants (SRG) in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia Season 18 playoffs, beating Invictus Gaming 3-1 after losing the opening game.

Gold laner Danial "Cikugais" Fuad said BTRM should believe they can defeat the five-time champions. The teams met at the same stage last season, when SRG prevailed 3-2. Cikugais pointed to the changed game patch as a reason the outcome could be different and urged his teammates to retain their belief.

BTRM took three games in succession against Invictus Gaming. Jungler Nazhan "Chibi" Mohd Nor said the opening loss helped them assess their opponents' approach, with the team reassuring themselves afterwards that the deficit was only 1-0. He added that they had focused on drafting during the pre-playoff break following an inconsistent second leg of the regular season.

Match MVP Ziyad Irsyad "Zieyy" Muzzammil cautioned against becoming overexcited when ahead, saying BTRM nearly let Invictus Gaming recover in game four. He hopes the team can improve on their fifth-place regular-season finish and perform at their best against SRG.

The other play-in ended with Team Vamos beating Team Flash 3-1, earning a semi-final against Team Rey in the upper bracket.
