Bolick earns second consecutive weekly PBA honour as NLEX reach semifinals
NLEX swept Phoenix to secure the franchise’s third semifinal appearance, with Rain or Shine or Converge awaiting them.

Robert Bolick has received another PBA Press Corps Player of the Week award after helping NLEX reach the semifinals of the 50th Season Governors’ Cup. It was his second consecutive selection for the honour, which is decided by sportswriters covering the league.
For October 27-31, Bolick’s averages were 27 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals. His combined shooting from three- and four-point range was 9-of-17, or 53%. He had also claimed the award for October 21-25.
In Game 2 against Phoenix, Bolick contributed 31 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals, shooting 3-of-5 from three-point range. He followed that with 23 points, four rebounds and five assists as NLEX won Game 3 by 137-89 to complete the quarterfinal sweep. His shooting from three- and four-point range in the deciding game was 6-of-10.
The result gave NLEX only its third semifinal berth in franchise history. Bolick said the team’s work was not finished and that it would prepare for either Rain or Shine or Converge. Other contenders for the weekly award included NLEX teammate Schonny Winston and Barangay Ginebra players Scottie Thompson and RJ Abarrientos.
