Borneo FC took a 2-1 victory from their visit to PSS Sleman at Maguwoharjo Stadium on 27 October, in round seven of the 2026/2027 Super League. PSS were reduced to 10 players before the interval when Stefan Ashkovski was sent off.

Rahmad Dandy Sonriza broke the deadlock for Borneo, meeting a corner from Juan Villa with a left-footed volley. Ashkovski then collected yellow cards in the 41st and 43rd minutes, leaving the hosts short-handed for the remainder of the match.

PSS adopted a more guarded approach after half-time but continued to offer resistance. Borneo extended their advantage in the 75th minute through Hugo Samir, who finished a counterattack with a right-footed shot.

Fornazari, introduced during the second half, brought PSS back into contention with a goal. Borneo responded by trying to control possession, while the hosts pressed into stoppage time without finding an equaliser.

Earlier, PSS had pushed forward without creating a chance during the opening 10 minutes. Borneo subsequently fashioned at least four opportunities, while a Riko Simanjuntak attempt in the 27th minute was stopped by the visitors’ defence.
