Cong An Ha Noi FC began their Group B campaign in the 2026/27 ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup with an away victory over Lion City Sailors FC. Léo Artur supplied the only goal, finishing from close range two minutes into first-half stoppage time.

Brayan Perea created the breakthrough after receiving the ball from Alan Grafite inside the hosts’ half. He drove forward, resisted Diogo Costa’s challenge and used a backheel to send the ball across goal for Artur to score from six yards.

The Sailors had opportunities before falling behind. Filip Nguyen came off his line to deny Matthias Phaëton, while Antonio Mance shot over and later delivered a low cross through the goalmouth. At the other end, Artur tested goalkeeper Victor Aznar with a curling effort in the 17th minute.

Aznar stopped Artur again around the hour, with Stefan Mauk sending the rebound over. The goalkeeper also blocked Jason Quang-Vinh’s close-range attempt. The hosts continued to seek an equaliser, but Kyoga Nakamura’s effort was deflected wide and substitute Bart Ramselaar shot over. Abdul Rasaq Akeem missed an empty goal late in added time, leaving Mano Pölking’s side with the win. Artur received the Shopee Star of the Match award.
