Danish determined to regain early-season form at Malaysian GP
The Malaysian Moto3 rookie has managed just one top-10 finish since his first Grand Prix victory at Brno in June.

Hakim Danish Ramli heads to the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia determined to recapture his early-season form and deliver for his home supporters. The 19-year-old Aeon Credit-MT Helmets-MSI rider is ninth in the Moto3 championship with 103 points.
Danish said the home event had increased his motivation. He wanted to do his best for his team, Malaysia, his family and supporters, and hoped to perform at his best throughout the weekend.
June brought Danish third place at Mugello followed by his first GP victory at Brno. Since that win in the Czech GP, ninth at the Red Bull Ring has been his only top-10 finish. He qualified 23rd at Phillip Island, where poor visibility subsequently forced the cancellation of the race.
Sepang is familiar territory for the Terengganu-born rider, who grew up riding at the circuit. A wildcard entry gave him a place in last season’s Malaysian GP, where he progressed to qualifying two (Q2). He was battling for a top-10 place before a technical problem with his motorcycle ended his race with five laps left.
The championship leader is Maximo Quiles of CFMoto Gaviota Aspar Team with 351 points. Second-placed David Almansa of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP has 217, while Brian Uriarte of Red Bull KTM Ajo is third with 198.
