A 21-8, 21-11 victory over Malaysia’s Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik gave Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri the Denmark Open 2026 men’s doubles crown on 18 October. The pair entered the tournament as the third seeds.

In comments shared on PBSI’s social media account, Fajar expressed gratitude for turning his previous runner-up finish into a title. He had been beaten in last year’s final by Japan’s Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi.

Fajar said he hoped the result would lead to more success. He added that the win increased their confidence and motivation after the disappointment of taking bronze in the individual competition at the 2026 Asian Games.

For Fikri, the victory also helped address that Asian Games setback. He said he treated each match as a new beginning and did not want to become satisfied too soon. Explaining his vocal encouragement during the final at Arena Fyn, he said he wanted to turn his sadness over earlier defeats into an improved result.
