Four Malaysian women advance in IBF World Cup singles
Defending champion Natasha Roslan joins three compatriots in the knockouts, but their draw means Malaysia cannot have two finalists.

Malaysia qualified all four of its women for the IBF World Cup singles knockout rounds in Munich, Germany, with reigning champion Natasha Roslan progressing alongside Sin Li Jane, Adelia Nur Irwan Syazalee and Nur Hazirah Ramli. None of Malaysia's four men advanced.
Li Jane led Pool 2 in Group D on 33 points after recording 11 wins from 13 matches, beating Singapore's Cherie Tan on a tie-break. Natasha took third place in Pool 1 of Group C with 27 points. Adelia finished second in Pool 1 of Group B, while Nur Hazirah claimed fourth in Pool 2 of Group A; both collected 30 points.
All four Malaysians occupy the same quarter of the draw, Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress secretary-general and team manager Maradona Chok said. Natasha starts against Samantha Greiner of the Netherlands, while Li Jane meets Denmark's Megan Dicay. Adelia faces the Philippines' Krizziah Lyn Macatula, and Nur Hazirah plays Denmark's Karen Kaergaard Nielsen.
Victories for all four in the last-32 would set up Natasha against Li Jane and Adelia against Nur Hazirah in the last-16. That outcome would ensure a Malaysian semi-finalist, but the draw prevents an all-Malaysian final.
In the men's competition, 2025 silver medallist Rafiq Ismail earned 21 points but lost a three-way roll-off for second place in Pool 3 of Group C. Dutch bowler Mathijs Beverdam delivered two Brooklyn strikes in the decider. Tun Hakim Tun Hasnul Azam finished fourth with 21 points; Ahmad Muaz Fishol and Timmy Tan placed sixth and seventh respectively in their pools, each on 15 points.
Qualifying ran from Oct 14-17, with four women and two men advancing from each pool. Malaysia's men next turn to defending their team title, won against Puerto Rico in a 3-2 final in Hong Kong last year.
