Ginebra beat Rain or Shine 129-111 to end two-game losing streak

RJ Abarrientos scored 34 points and new import Jordan Murphy contributed 30 as Ginebra moved to 3-4 in the PBA Governors’ Cup.

Barangay Ginebra ended a two-game skid with a 129-111 victory over Rain or Shine in the PBA Governors’ Cup at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino Stadium on October 9, 2026. The result took Ginebra to 3-4 and left Rain or Shine at 4-3, halting its four-game winning run.

RJ Abarrientos finished with 34 points, making six three-pointers and three four-point shots. Jordan Murphy, Ginebra’s new import, supplied 30 points, while Stephen Holt and Troy Rosario each scored 14.

Ginebra established a 40-19 lead after the first quarter and went into half-time ahead 73-46. Abarrientos accounted for 20 points before the interval, with Murphy adding 16. The advantage grew to 106-75 by the end of the third quarter.

Rain or Shine responded late, putting together an 8-0 burst through Andrei Caracut and Aaron Fuller after trailing by 30 with about three minutes left. Ralph Cu interrupted that run with a three-pointer and later scored again. Caracut added a jumper and a triple, before Stanley Pringle made a four-pointer.

Fuller topped Rain or Shine’s scoring with 23 points, alongside 13 rebounds and four assists. Deo Cuajao scored 19, Adrian Nocum had 15, Mike Malonzo added 14 and Caracut finished with 12.
