Guevara wins shortened Mandalika Moto2 race
Manuel Gonzalez finished second and Daniel Holgado third after a first-lap red flag reduced the race from 22 laps to 14.

Izan Guevara won the Moto2 race at the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Championship leader Manuel Gonzalez took second place, ahead of Daniel Holgado.
A crash involving several riders on the opening lap initially brought out yellow flags before the race was stopped with a red flag. Riders returned to the pits and restarted about five minutes later, with the scheduled distance cut from 22 laps to 14.
The restart followed the qualifying grid rather than the order before the stoppage. Alex Escrig moved into the lead from second on the grid, with pole-sitter Guevara behind him. Escrig's motorcycle developed a problem with two laps remaining, forcing him out and allowing Guevara to pass.
Gonzalez had earlier overtaken Ivan Ortola and closed on Holgado. Celestino Vietti crashed at turn 10, briefly prompting another yellow flag. Air temperature reached 30 degrees Celsius, while the track temperature was 65 degrees Celsius.
Indonesian rider Mario Aji was in 20th place but received a long-lap penalty and dropped one position.
