Malaysian rider Hakim Danish said Honda had an advantage at Sepang after he finished fourth in the Malaysian Moto3 race on 1 November 2026. Veda Ega Pratama, riding a Honda, took second place to record his best Moto3 result.

Danish and Veda Ega traded places during the race before Veda Ega finished ahead of the KTM rider. Danish said he had hoped to reach the podium but could not do so despite giving his maximum effort.

In comments reported by New Strait Times, Danish attributed Honda’s edge to Sepang’s fast corners. He said he kept trying to close the gap and attempted an overtake at the final corner, only to run wide.

The 19-year-old said he was satisfied with his effort throughout the race despite missing the podium. He added that he had wanted to deliver his best performance for the fans, family members and sponsors who had come to watch him.
