Portugal defeated Indonesia 2-1 in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 26 October in the Under-15 World Cup and FIFA Festival 2026. A late strike from Indonesia captain I Kadek Dwi was not enough to overturn Portugal’s two-goal advantage.

Coached by Furqon Alkatiri, Indonesia moved the ball confidently early on but reached half-time without scoring. Portugal went ahead in the 20th minute when a player converted the rebound after a free kick struck the crossbar.

Rendra Maulana threatened Portugal’s goal repeatedly as Indonesia sought an equaliser after the interval. His headers and shots went wide of the goal guarded by Frederico Anjos. Portugal then extended their lead in the 28th minute through Ruben Queiroz, capitalising on a miscontrol by Reganatha Harfi.

Indonesia pulled one back in the 38th minute when Muhammad Hariri received a throw-in and provided the assist for Dwi’s powerful finish. The goal revived Indonesia’s hopes, but neither side scored in the remaining two minutes.
