Indonesia lose 6-1 to Luxembourg in U-15 World Cup Tier C quarter-final
Indonesia will next face either France or Tunisia in a match to determine 69th place among 189 participants.

Luxembourg defeated Indonesia 6-1 in the Tier C quarter-finals of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival 2026 on 29 October. The match took place on Field 10A at the Hovsan Competition Complex in Baku, Azerbaijan.
A scramble inside Indonesia’s penalty area led to Luxembourg’s opening goal in the seventh minute. Indonesia went into the interval trailing 1-0, with Furqon Alkatiri’s side relying on counter-attacks against opponents who controlled possession.
Luxembourg added a second goal from open play in the 23rd minute. Indonesia’s goalkeeper then had to leave the pitch following a heavy collision with an opposing player in the 25th minute. Indonesia scored their only goal after that incident.
A long-range strike in the 29th minute extended Luxembourg’s advantage. They converted a penalty in the 35th minute, scored again three minutes later and completed the scoring in the 40th minute.
The defeat does not end Indonesia’s participation in the tournament. Their next opponents will be the losers of the match between France and Tunisia, with 69th place at stake in a field of 189 participants.
