Indonesia ranks 15th at Asian Games after women's padel silver

Indonesia's medal tally reached 39, with five golds, 11 silvers and 23 bronzes, after collecting four medals on 3 October.

Fadona Kusumawati and Fitria Sabatini took silver in women's pairs padel at the 2026 Asian Games on 3 October, leaving Indonesia 15th in the medal standings. They lost the final 3-6, 4-6 to Japan's Saki Tsukamoto and Kae Tukumoto at Nagoya City Higashi Sports Center.

Their result brought Indonesia its 11th silver of the Games. With five golds and 23 bronzes, the contingent had 39 medals, placing it behind Taiwan in 14th. Taiwan also had five golds, alongside 17 silvers and 33 bronzes.

Indonesia collected three silvers and one bronze on the Games' 14th day. The padel bronze came from Novela Putria and Beatrice Gumulya, who defeated the Philippines' Danna Abad and Joshea Malazarte 6-0, 6-0.

Indonesia also finished behind Japan in the men's quadrant sepak takraw event. In men's beach volleyball, Sofyan Rachman Efendi and Bintang Akbar took silver after losing 2-1 to Qatar's Cherif Samba and Ahmed Janko at Hekinan Ryokuchi Beach Court.

China led the standings with 334 medals, comprising 167 golds, 87 silvers and 80 bronzes. Japan was second and South Korea third. Among other Southeast Asian contingents in the top 15, Thailand ranked sixth and Malaysia 11th.
