Indonesia stood 15th in the Asian Para Games 2026 medal table with seven medals as of 17.00 WIB on 19 October, the fourth day of competition in Aichi-Nagoya.

Junaedi delivered the contingent’s only silver in the men’s J1-70 kg Para judo event. The six bronze medallists were Ni Nengah Widiasih and Hilman in Para powerlifting, Sufyan Saori and Vanza Miftahul Jannah in Para cycling, Dheny Marsyelina in Para judo and Hamida in Para table tennis.

Widiasih earned Indonesia’s first medal at the Games, finishing third in the women’s 41 kg powerlifting category with a best lift of 97 kg. She finished behind competitors from China and Kazakhstan, whose lifts reached 120 kg and 104 kg respectively.

The result extended Widiasih’s run of medals at the Asian Para Games, following silvers in 2014, 2018 and 2022. She said it was her first bronze at the event.

The 33-year-old athlete from Bali said a shoulder injury had left her short of full fitness. She nevertheless sought to increase her lifts in each session to improve her world ranking as she pursued qualification for the Los Angeles Paralympics.
