Indonesia reaches Suhandinata Cup semi-finals after beating UAE
A 2-0 quarter-final victory sets up a meeting with Malaysia on 9 October.

Indonesia secured a place in the Suhandinata Cup 2026 semi-finals by defeating the United Arab Emirates 2-0 at Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex on 7 October. The team finished the first set 55-54 before taking the second 55-31.
Atresia Naufa Candani and Yasinta Ristyna Putri opened against Vaidehi Kalidasan and Mysa Omer Khan, recording an 11-4 score in seven minutes on Court 6. Radithya Bayu Wardana followed with a 22-20 result against Riyan Malhan, while Jolin Angelia beat Kalidasan 33-27 in women's singles.
Moses Andar Simanjuntak and Reya Azzahra Yulianti kept Indonesia ahead with a 44-37 result against Aditya Kiran and Sakshi Kurbkhelgi. Raihan Daffa Edsel Pramono and Anju Siahaan then closed the first set against Adam Jeslin and Malhan at 55-54.
Indonesia built a wider advantage in the second set. Atresia and Yasinta recorded 11-3 against Kalidasan and Khan, followed by Fardhan Raianda Joe's 22-8 result against Malhan. Jolin finished her encounter with Kalidasan at 33-12, before Moses and Reya beat Malhan and Khan 44-23. Raihan and Anju sealed the set against Jeslin and Malhan at 55-31.
Indonesia will face Malaysia in the semi-finals on 9 October.
