Indonesia takes 11th Asian Games silver after padel final defeat
Fadona Kusumawati and Fitria Sabatini lost to Japan, while Indonesia also collected medals in padel, sepak takraw and beach volleyball.

Fadona Kusumawati and Fitria Sabatini earned Indonesia its 11th silver medal at the 2026 Asian Games after Japan beat them 0-2 in the padel final on 3 October at Nagoya City Higashi Sports Center.
The Indonesians lost the opening set 3-6 before moving ahead in the second. They built a 4-1 lead, but the Japanese pair drew level at 4-4 and then went 5-4 up.
Indonesia also took bronze in the women's pairs padel event through Novela Putria and Beatrice Gumulya. They beat the Philippines' Danna Abad and Joshea Malazarte 6-0, 6-0 at the same venue.
In men's quadrant sepak takraw, Indonesia finished with silver following a 1-2 defeat by Japan at Nagoya City Muzuho Park. After losing the first set 15-17, Indonesia won the second 15-9 before Japan took the deciding set 15-13.
Sofyan Rachman Efendi and Bintang Akbar added a men's beach volleyball silver after losing the final to Qatar's Cherif Samba and Ahmed Janko at Hekinan Ryokuchi Beach Court. The Indonesian pair won the opener 21-19, but their opponents took the second set 21-16. Sofyan and Bintang then lost the decider 8-15.
