Indonesia’s Janice Tjen partnered Australia’s Storm Hunter to claim the women’s doubles title at the 2026 Japan Open in Osaka on 24 October. They defeated Czech pair Jesika Maleckova and Miriam Skoch in straight sets, CNN Indonesia reported.
The final ended 6-4, 6-1 after 1 hour 7 minutes. Tjen and Hunter took 53 per cent of the total points, compared with their opponents’ 47 per cent.
Their route to the title began with a straight-sets victory over Ingrid Martins and Sara Sorribes Tormo. In the quarter-finals, they recovered from losing the opening set to beat Taiwan’s Ya-Hsin Lee and Fang-Hsien Wu 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.
The semi-final also went to a deciding match tie-break. Tjen and Hunter overcame Isabelle Haverlag and Lilli Tagger 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 to reach the title match.
The Osaka victory added to the 24-year-old Indonesian’s titles in 2026. Tjen had previously won the WTA 250 Hobart International alongside Katarzyna Piter and the WTA 125 Birmingham Open with Talia Gibson.
