Java United secured their first victory of the 2026/2027 Super League season by defeating Borneo FC 2-1 at Jatidiri Stadium in Semarang, Central Java, on 11 October. Lucas Brambilla’s free kick settled the fourth-round match.

Neither side scored before half-time. Java United attacked from the outset, but Borneo, runners-up last season, held firm and began creating threats of their own as the teams exchanged attacks.

Kaio Nunes broke the deadlock three minutes into the second half, carrying the ball past Borneo’s players before finishing. Borneo coach Mauro Jeronimo made several substitutions as his side sought an equaliser.

Borneo drew level in the 65th minute when Arthur collected a long pass and crossed for Astina to score with a volley. Brambilla later restored Java United’s advantage, sending his free kick into the upper-right corner beyond goalkeeper Kadu.

Java United continued to attack after regaining the lead, while Arthur failed to convert two late chances for Borneo. The result left Java United on two points: they had started the season on minus two and previously earned a point from a draw against Garudayaksa.
