Johan Ghazali wins Paez rematch, seeks another fight with Ondash
The 19-year-old Malaysian-American secured a unanimous decision in Bangkok, bringing his professional record to 28-11.

Johan Ghazali stopped a run of two defeats by beating Diego Paez on October 16 at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. All judges favoured the Malaysian-American after their three-round flyweight Muay Thai contest, the co-main event at The Inner Circle 35.
Paez, a Colombian-American, had won their previous encounter by split decision last year. The rematch gave Ghazali his ninth ONE Championship victory and left the 19-year-old with a professional record of 28-11.
Speaking to onefc.com, Ghazali said he was happy with his improvement, although he felt he had yet to reach his best. He blamed his first loss to Paez on an ineffective strategy, nervousness and rushing his attacks.
Ghazali said advice from Superbon, the reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion, helped him change his approach during the rematch. Superbon urged him to stay composed, limit his backward movement and worry less about taking punches. Ghazali said he subsequently put more emphasis on attacking rather than guarding.
For his next contest, Ghazali said his first choice would be Ramadan Ondash. He remained unhappy about their July meeting and believed he deserved to win, but said he would face someone else if necessary. Ondash is due to meet Shimon Yoshinari at The Inner Circle 38 in November, in a quarterfinal of the 2026-2027 ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix.
