Julio Cesar winner gives Persib 1-0 victory over Persik
Persik had a first-half header ruled out for offside by VAR as Persib took the points in their fifth match of the 2026/2027 Super League season.
Substitute Julio Cesar scored in the 78th minute to give Persib Bandung a 1-0 win against Persik Kediri at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium on 18 October. His goal settled the teams’ fifth-round meeting in the 2026/2027 Super League.
Persik had found the net in the 40th minute when Park Jun Heong headed in a free-kick delivered from the left, but VAR ruled the goal out for offside. Earlier, Persib goalkeeper Fitrah Maulana had stopped an effort from outside the penalty area by Ernesto Gomez in the 33rd minute.
Both teams were denied by the woodwork. A left-footed attempt by Persib’s Luka Menalo struck the crossbar, while Park’s long-range effort hit Persib’s right post in the 55th minute. Balsa Sekulic then headed a cross from the left against Persik’s crossbar in the 62nd minute.
Cesar eventually broke the deadlock, but Persik continued to threaten in the closing stages. Fitrah was called into action by several late chances as Persib held on without conceding.
