A three-goal performance from Marin Jurina helped BG Pathum United beat Tai Po FC 4-1 at Pathum Thani Stadium and take second place in AFC Champions League Two Group F. The Thai side overtook Adelaide United, who lost 5-0 to Lion City Sailors.

Jurina converted a delivery from Sarach Yooyen in the 13th minute, then scored again in the 37th after receiving a pass from Lucas Andersen. His third came in the 57th minute, when he ran onto Fabio Kaufmann's ball and chipped goalkeeper Tse Ka Wing.

After Chanathip Songkrasin struck the bar in the 61st minute, Jurina turned provider for Matheus Costa to add Pathum's fourth. Tai Po's consolation came in the 70th minute, with Wallisson heading in a free-kick taken by Leonardo.

Interim coach Peerapong Pichitchotirat attributed the win to disciplined attacking and defending. He said Pathum would need a carefully prepared plan for their next continental fixture, at home to Lion City, following a draw between the teams in their first meeting.

Lion City's victory at Jalan Besar Stadium took them to 10 points from four matches, bringing qualification for the knockout stage closer. Matthias Phaeton contributed two goals, while Bailey Wright, Kyoga Nakamura and Ilhan Fandi each added one.
