Kristensen double gives Philippines 2-1 win over Thailand
The Philippines ended their FIFA Asean Cup campaign with four points but missed the medal rounds after finishing third in Group B.

Bjorn Kristensen scored twice as the Philippines beat Thailand 2-1 in their final FIFA Asean Cup fixture at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung, Indonesia. The result was their first victory of the inaugural tournament.
Kristensen struck in the third minute before scoring the decisive goal in the 68th minute during a rain-hit Group B encounter. The Philippines had previously lost 0-1 to Vietnam and drawn 2-2 with Pakistan.
The win left the Philippines third with four points, short of a place in the medal rounds. Vietnam claimed second position on six points and qualified for the bronze medal match after beating Pakistan 4-2 in Jakarta.
Thailand retained first place in the group with six points despite the defeat. They will face Indonesia in the final after the hosts topped Group A with seven points.
Philippines coach Carles Cuadrat congratulated his players on their tournament performances. He praised their football and chance creation, saying their displays demonstrated progress for Philippine football.
