Lee and Hugo take submission wins at ONE Fight Night 49
Magdalena Czaban and Ilmadi Israilov also kept their unbeaten records with unanimous-decision victories in Bangkok.

Lee Seung Cheol submitted Nazareth Lalthazuala and Victor Hugo defeated Devhonte Johnson by submission at ONE Fight Night 49, held at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on November 6, according to ONE Championship. Magdalena Czaban and Ilmadi Israilov won their MMA contests on unanimous decisions.
South Korea’s Lee survived early submission attempts before finishing Lalthazuala with a rear-naked choke 3:04 into the second round of their strawweight MMA bout. The result handed the Indian fighter his first professional defeat and took Lee to 14-1, with 14 consecutive victories.
In openweight submission grappling, Brazil’s Hugo needed 1:35 to submit American Johnson with a rear-naked choke. A foot sweep allowed Hugo to take his opponent’s back before securing the finish. The win lifted Hugo’s record to 101-23 and settled their three-match rivalry: Hugo won their 2016 IBJJF Worlds meeting, while Johnson took the 2017 Europeans rematch.
Poland’s Czaban beat Brazil’s Vick Souza after three rounds at atomweight. Souza used low kicks and secured an opening-round takedown, while Czaban answered with punches and kicks. All three judges favoured Czaban, who improved to 6-0 with her second victory in ONE Championship.
French fighter Israilov moved to 10-0 after defeating Tajikistan’s Kalandar Tabarov in a bantamweight bout between promotional debutants. Israilov repeatedly pursued takedowns and applied ground-and-pound, although an accidental kick to his grounded opponent’s face earned him a yellow card.
