Indonesian men’s doubles players Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin have withdrawn from the Denmark Open 2026 because of Daniel’s elbow injury. Coach Antonius Budi Ariantho explained the decision in a written statement on 13 October.

Antonius said Daniel reported elbow pain after training in the Main Hall. Despite treatment by a physiotherapist, a subsequent assessment found that his pain remained high. The coach said he withdrew the pair to allow Daniel to focus on recovery and hoped he could return at the French Open 2026.

Leo and Daniel had been due to face China’s Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in the opening round on the evening of 13 October, Western Indonesian Time.

Indonesia has 13 entries remaining in the BWF Super 750 event. Its other men’s doubles pairs are Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin and Devin Artha Wahyudi/Ali Faathir Rayhan.

Leo and Daniel won gold in both the individual and men’s team competitions at the Asian Games 2026. After being reunited as a pair, they also won the Thailand Open 2026 before their Asian Games success.
