Madura United move into second after 3-0 win over Arema
Madura United reached 19 points in the Super League standings, moving ahead of Persija Jakarta, who have 18.

Madura United beat Arema FC 3-0 in Pamekasan on 6 November to take second place in the 2026/2027 Super League. Mendoça, Dimitar Mitkov and Gali Freitas scored for the hosts at Stadion Gelora Madura Ratu Pamelingan.
Two goals shortly before the interval broke open a tight first half. Defender Mendoça struck from a set piece in the 45th minute, before Mitkov added another two minutes later to give Madura United a 2-0 half-time lead.
The hosts had struggled to create clear chances after an early opportunity for Lulinha in the fifth minute. Madura United used a 4-3-3 formation with Lulinha, Mitkov and Freitas in attack, while Arema relied on counterattacks from a 3-4-3 setup.
After the break, Ze Gomes's side focused on keeping possession rather than rushing forward, while Arema's attacks continued to break down. Freitas added the third goal in stoppage time. It stood after a VAR review for a possible offside.
The victory put Madura United on 19 points, pushing Persija Jakarta into third on 18. Persija are scheduled to face Persebaya Surabaya at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on 7 November at 19.00 WIB.
