Malaysia placed 12th out of 31 countries at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games, collecting six golds, eight silvers and 13 bronzes. Their last chance to add to that haul ended with defeat in the boccia mixed pair BC4 bronze-medal contest.

Hanafi Rosli and Noor Askuzaimey Mat Salim were beaten 4-2 by Thai opponents Phonsila Nuanchan and Larpyen Pornchok. The match took place at the Nagoya City General Gymnasium, with the result leaving the Malaysian contingent without a closing-day medal.

Noor Askuzaimey was seeking another bronze after taking one in women's BC4 earlier in the Games. Malaysia had reached its target of six golds before the final day.

China led the table, taking 207 golds alongside 117 silvers and 111 bronzes. Japan, the host nation, ranked second on 64 golds, 60 silvers and 62 bronzes. Third-placed Uzbekistan recorded 45 golds, 49 silvers and 51 bronzes.
