The Philippines will stage the inaugural ASTAF U-19 Asian Sepaktakraw Championship 2026 in Manila from November 26-30. Matches will be played at the Rizal Memorial Sports Coliseum and Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Pilipinas Sepaktakraw Association Inc. is hosting the tournament under the Asian Sepaktakraw Federation, with the Philippine Sports Commission as presenter. It will be the federation’s first Asian youth championship.

Participation has been confirmed by the Philippines, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Myanmar, Oman, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. Organisers expect the final field to reach 15 countries.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for November 26, followed by medal presentations and the closing ceremony on November 30. Rizal Memorial Sports Coliseum will have two competition courts, while Ninoy Aquino Stadium will provide another match court and two training courts.

Muhammad Fariq Abdul Halim, the championship’s technical delegate and deputy president of the International Sepaktakraw Federation, said the event was intended to give younger players international experience after years of competitions largely centred on senior national teams.

The Pilipinas Sepaktakraw Association Inc. will announce further details through its official channels, including match schedules, athletes, admission arrangements and broadcast and livestream coverage.
