Riot Games has named Manila as host of the first VCT Pacific Cup, scheduled for April 29 to May 23, 2027. The Valorant tournament will offer teams places at Masters Valencia.

The Cup forms part of an overhaul of the 2027 Valorant Champions Tour, which will cover 15 cities and include more than 50 tournaments. Its competition categories will include Opens, Cups, Masters and Champions.

The new Cup format takes the place of VCT Pacific Stages. Those competitions were largely based in Seoul during the franchise era, with finals-weekend road shows.

Qualification arrangements will also change in 2027. South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam will each have dedicated regional competitions. Philippine teams will instead enter the Pacific Wild Card region, together with teams from Malaysia, Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia.

South Asia and Oceania will use that Wild Card route as well. Philippine organisations will therefore compete in a shared qualification system rather than a separate domestic pathway. Riot Games has described its approach as a more open system in which results determine advancement.
