Alex Marquez started from pole but lost the lead to his brother on the opening lap. Acosta settled into third, and the leading trio began pulling away from Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi by lap five.

Marc Marquez had built a 0.633-second advantage over Alex by lap seven. Behind them, Acosta closed in on second place before overtaking Alex at turn nine on lap 10.

The leader continued to extend his advantage, moving 2.355 seconds clear of Acosta by lap 12. With five laps remaining, the gap stood at 2.734 seconds.
