Mario Aji finishes 12th in Australian Moto2 practice
Izan Guevara topped the Phillip Island session, with Senna Agius second and David Alonso third.

Mario Aji ended the Australian Moto2 practice session at Phillip Island in 12th place on 23 October 2026, recording a best lap of 1 minute 30.551 seconds. He was 0.535 seconds off the pace set by session leader Izan Guevara.
After placing ninth in FP1, Aji reached the top six midway through practice with a lap of 1 minute 30.798 seconds. That effort was 0.059 seconds quicker than his FP1 time. His team-mate Taiyo Furusato reached the top eight during the session, trailing Aji by 0.097 seconds at that stage.
Senna Agius moved to the front as running resumed ahead of the final 10 minutes. Aji dropped to 10th before a faster lap briefly lifted him to eighth. Guevara later took over at the top with a time of 1 minute 30.016 seconds and remained there until the finish.
Agius took second, 0.018 seconds behind Guevara, ahead of David Alonso, Daniel Holgado and Filip Salac. Separate crashes for Daniel Munoz and Aron Canet prompted yellow flags, while Ayumu Sasaki and Jose Rueda fell near the end.
