Martin regains MotoGP lead after third-place finish in Mandalika
Jorge Martin has 355 points, two ahead of Marc Marquez, after Marco Bezzecchi won the Indonesian race ahead of Raul Fernandez.

Jorge Martin returned to the top of the MotoGP standings after finishing third at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at Mandalika Circuit on 11 October 2026. The Spanish rider said he was satisfied with the podium result, which left him on 355 points ahead of Marc Marquez on 353.
Martin acknowledged that his team-mate Marco Bezzecchi, who won the race, and runner-up Raul Fernandez of SuperFile Trackhouse were faster through some sections of the circuit. He said he relied on his own riding approach to try to match their pace.
The 28-year-old said the result reflected progress in adapting to Aprilia and improving his performance as he pursued the 2026 world title. He expressed confidence that he would become faster in subsequent races and said he was focused on the next challenge.
Martin also reflected on missing a chance to win the Sprint Race on 10 October. He had led before losing position amid difficulty maintaining his pace and mistakes during the final two laps. The next round is the Australian Grand Prix on 23–26 October.
