Myanmar earned bronze in women’s doubles at the 2026 Teqball World Series in Ayutthaya, Thailand, following a defeat by Thailand. The result brought the national team a US$1,100 cash prize.

The pair, Hsu Mon Aung, 24, and Naing Naing Win, 42, had previously taken silver in women’s doubles at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, in September. Their opponents in Ayutthaya included players representing France, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, India, Russia, Moldova, Hungary, Portugal and Thailand.

Myanmar sent 15 athletes to the series, which ran from Oct. 30 until Nov. 1. They entered the women’s, men’s and mixed doubles events. The tournament offered US$30,000 in prize money, alongside world ranking points awarded by the International Teqball Federation.

In a Nov. 1 social media statement, the Myanmar Teqball Federation said the bronze demonstrated the international competitiveness of its female players.

Myanmar’s national squad had also played in the Teqball Tour Si Racha in Thailand’s Chonburi Province from Oct. 23-25. Teqball began in Hungary in 2014 and uses a curved table, combining aspects of football, volleyball and table tennis.
