Singapore’s Nur Syahidah Alim finished runner-up to India’s Sheetal Devi on Oct 22, earning silver for the second successive Asian Para Games. The defending champion won their compound women’s individual open final 142-139 in Aichi, Japan.

The result followed another final between the pair at the 2022 Hangzhou Games, where Devi won 144-142 after shooting six perfect 10s. Syahidah subsequently beat Devi in a shoot-off at the 2023 Asian Para Archery Championships.
Singapore’s eight medals at the ongoing Games include silvers from boccia players Jovin Tan and Aloysius Gan, alongside a bronze from Jeralyn Tan. Swimmer Toh Wei Soong has earned three bronze medals, while Amelia Tan, making her Games debut in para-cycling, took bronze in the women’s B time trial.
