Nxled sweeps PLDT in PVL All-Filipino Conference opener
Brooke Van Sickle scored 11 points on her return from a shoulder injury as Nxled joined three other teams with 1-0 records.
Nxled began its 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series campaign by beating PLDT in straight sets at Smart Araneta Coliseum. The Chameleons won 25-16, 25-20, 25-18 in what was also PLDT's opening match.
Brooke Van Sickle led Nxled with 11 points and was its only player to score in double figures. Myla Pablo and Jackie Acuña contributed nine points apiece, while seven points each came from EJ Carino, Jonah Sabete-Escamillan and Gel Cayuna.
The victory put Nxled alongside Creamline, Choco Mucho and Farm Fresh among the early leaders, all holding 1-0 records.
Van Sickle was returning after a minor shoulder injury suffered before the PVL On Tour. She said being sidelined had been difficult, but support from her coaches, teammates and management helped her through the recovery process. Although she missed playing and had to watch from afar, she said she remained proud of her teammates.
