Oftana scores 31 on return as TNT beat Terrafirma 116-92
The defending champions improved to 5-4 in Group A after Calvin Oftana made his first appearance of the conference following injury.

Calvin Oftana contributed 31 points and six rebounds as TNT defeated Terrafirma 116-92 at Ninoy Aquino Stadium on October 7 in the PBA Season 50 Governors' Cup. It was his conference debut after missing TNT’s opening eight games with a hamstring strain and toe injury.
Two three-pointers from Oftana helped TNT extend a 37-32 advantage to 53-40 late in the second quarter. Nick Hornsby then scored on consecutive possessions, sending the defending champions into the break ahead 57-42.
Terrafirma narrowed the gap through a Brent Paraiso three-point play and two successive jumpers by Maverick Ahanmisi. Ahanmisi’s baskets brought the score to 81-66 early in the fourth quarter, but RR Pogoy answered with a three-pointer and a three-point play to put TNT ahead 89-66.
Oftana and Hornsby subsequently added three-pointers as TNT stretched their lead to 109-82. Hornsby had replaced Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson, and TNT head coach Chot Reyes praised his performance.
TNT’s next opponent is San Miguel at Ynares Center Antipolo. Terrafirma are scheduled to play Macau.
