Onic Philippines won a five-game series against TNC Pro Team at Philsports Arena on October 21, advancing from the MPL Philippines Season 18 play-ins with a 3-2 victory. The result set up an upper-bracket semi-final meeting with Team Falcons.

The third-seeded side secured its fourth successive top-four finish and remained in contention for a return to the championship round, which it missed in the previous two seasons.

TNC, sixth in the regular season, claimed the opener after Jomari "Jowm" Pingol delivered a double kill on Obsidia. Onic levelled through Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez's Aulus before Borris "Brusko" Parro helped establish a 2-1 series advantage. His Atlas set-up at 13:39 brought down three TNC heroes and opened the way for Onic to attack.

TNC answered in Game 4, using Atlas to catch three opposing heroes late on and send the series to a decider. Onic took an early 2-0 lead in that game, but TNC stayed competitive as play continued beyond 20 minutes.

The decisive opening came when Onic kept Justine "Zaida" Palma's Aulus away, allowing Perez to take the third Lord without a challenge. With TNC short-handed, Onic pushed into the base to complete the win.
