Orapa Senatham earns Thailand’s first Asian Games jiu-jitsu gold
The Thai athlete beat the Philippines’ Alexandria Luz Enriquez on points in the women’s under-63kg final, delivering Thailand’s 16th gold of the Games.

Thailand won its first Asian Games gold in jiu-jitsu when Orapa Senatham defeated Alexandria Luz Enriquez of the Philippines in Saturday’s women’s under-63kg final in Nagoya, Japan. Orapa prevailed on points after a closely contested bout at the Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall.
Her victory brought Thailand’s gold medal count at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya to 16. It was also her second major international title, following gold at the 2025 World Games.
Orapa reached the final by beating the United Arab Emirates’ Aisha Alnebi in her round-of-16 match, then Andrea Lui Leo from the Philippines in the quarterfinals. She defeated Jordan’s Yama Aishaqat to advance from the semifinals.
Another Thai entrant in the women’s under-63kg competition, Aksornphak Sirimak, exited in the round of 16 with a defeat to Mongolia’s Naran Kishing Basanjargal.
Neither Thai competitor in the men’s under-85kg event progressed beyond the round of 32. Sukitpeerarat Jantanakha was beaten by Izuki Go of Japan, while Thanaphat Pholphut lost to Jordan’s Osama Nabas.
