Filipino boxer Pedro “Kid Heneral” Taduran is set to fight Spain’s Brandon Moreno in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on November 8, Philippine time, with his IBF minimumweight championship at stake.

Taduran has departed for the United States and is due to continue training in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 29-year-old southpaw has a 20-4-1 record and goes into the contest as the Philippines’ sole reigning boxing world champion.

His latest defence ended in a technical knockout victory against Mexican Gustavo Perez Alvarez in Temecula, California. That contest also marked Taduran’s first appearance in a US ring.

Originally from Libon, Albay, Taduran won the IBF minimumweight title in Japan in July 2024. A victory over the undefeated Moreno would give him a fourth successful defence of the belt and extend his winning streak to seven bouts.
