San Sebastian College-Recoletos ended its NCAA Season 102 men’s basketball group campaign without a win after University of Perpetual Help System DALTA prevailed 82-75 at San Juan’s Filoil Centre. Mark Gojo Cruz and JM Tulabut each contributed 19 points for the ALTAs.

Perpetual built a 31-14 first-quarter advantage and entered the final period leading 59-47. San Sebastian later put together a 9-1 burst, reducing Perpetual’s 74-62 cushion to 75-71.

Gojo Cruz stopped that run, and two successful foul shots from Jim Corpuz extended the lead to 79-71 with under a minute left. Aethon Salvo responded with a layup, but further free throws from Gojo Cruz and Shawn Orgo kept Perpetual ahead despite a late Ralph Gabat basket.

Alongside his scoring, Gojo Cruz recorded six rebounds, five assists and two steals. Niel Castor’s 18 points led the Golden Stags, with Gabat supplying 15.

The result followed Perpetual’s October 30 overtime loss to Emilio Aguinaldo College. The ALTAs next complete their group schedule against Colegio de San Juan de Letran, before another meeting with San Sebastian in the play-in round.
