Persib Bandung recovered from a one-goal deficit away to Port FC to win their ASEAN Club Championship match with three late goals. Coach Igor Tolic praised his players’ ability to adjust their approach while the game was under way.

Jude Soonsup-Bell put Port FC ahead with a penalty in the 66th minute, and the hosts retained that advantage until the closing stages. Mariano Peralta equalised in the 87th minute before Berguinho scored at 90+2 and Luka Menalo added another at 90+6.

In comments carried by Persib’s official website, Tolic credited the players’ intelligence and their ability to switch systems during the match. He said their counter-attacking play was central to the late turnaround.

Tolic said Port FC had created several first-half opportunities but Persib had defended well. He added that more space became available after the break, allowing his side to position players effectively on counter-attacks, and said they deserved the victory.
