Persib seek response against Garudayaksa after narrow defeat
Igor Tolic's side have only two days to recover, with Dimitar Mitkov's late goal having handed Madura United victory.

A short turnaround has left Persib Bandung needing to refocus immediately on Garudayaksa FC, coach Igor Tolic said after a 0-1 loss to Madura United. Persib are due at Pakansari Stadium in Bogor regency on 25 October for a Super League seventh-round match kicking off at 19:00 WIB.
Dimitar Mitkov struck in the 89th minute to secure the hosts' win. Tolic attributed Persib's defeat to wasteful finishing and a single costly lapse, saying his players had controlled the game and produced numerous clear scoring opportunities.
The coach said the team could not afford to dwell on the setback. With a two-day gap before their next fixture, his staff are drawing up a recovery programme for the players.
Persib wing-back Sandy Walsh expressed appreciation for supporters who made the long journey to Pamekasan and backed the side for the full 90 minutes. He said the players were united in their determination to answer the disappointment by pursuing maximum points against Garudayaksa.
