Persik beat Madura United 2-0 to climb into Super League top four
Eduardo Barbosa scored twice before Madura United were reduced to 10 men, taking Persik Kediri to seven points.

Persik Kediri moved into fourth place in the Super League after defeating Madura United 2-0 at Brawijaya Stadium on 9 October. The fourth-round victory lifted Persik to seven points and denied the visitors a chance to take first place.
Eduardo Barbosa put the hosts ahead in the ninth minute, beating defenders inside the penalty area before scoring. The 23-year-old Portuguese player added his second in the 25th minute with a close-range finish past goalkeeper Angga Saputro.
The second goal underwent a video assistant referee (VAR) check because a clearance by Hugo Gomes had struck a Persik player's arm. The goal was allowed to stand.
Madura United lost a striker to a red card in the 42nd minute for stepping on Persik defender Kiko. Referee Yudai Yamamoto initially issued a yellow card but changed the punishment after a VAR review.
Jose Gomes' side struggled to develop their play with 10 men and could not convert their chances. Persik also created further opportunities but failed to extend their lead, leaving the score unchanged at the final whistle.
