Raul Fernandez tops Mandalika MotoGP practice as Marc Marquez finishes fifth
Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin completed the top three in a session marked by several crashes at the Indonesian circuit.

Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez set a lap of 1 minute 28.725 seconds to lead practice for the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at Mandalika Circuit on 9 October. Marco Bezzecchi finished second, ahead of Jorge Martin, while Pedro Acosta took fourth and Marc Marquez fifth.
Fernandez lowered his time to 1 minute 29.252 seconds before recording his session-leading lap. Marquez had held second place during that stage, with Fabio Di Giannantonio third, before Bezzecchi moved ahead of Marquez.
Several riders crashed during practice. Fermin Aldeguer suffered a lowside at Turn 17, his second fall of the opening day. He got up immediately but appeared to limp, and later encountered a motorcycle problem with 9 minutes remaining.
Fabio Quartararo lost control of the front wheel while running fifth near the 30-minute mark. He was seen holding his left elbow and limping after entering the gravel. Enea Bastianini also crashed, although he managed to slow before reaching the gravel.
Diogo Moreira and Alex Marquez also fell, followed by Alex Rins and another crash for Bastianini late in the session. Di Giannantonio finished sixth, followed by Quartararo, Alex Marquez, Franco Morbidelli and Francesco Bagnaia.
