Resky Yusuf Hermawan wins opening race of fifth Thailand Talent Cup round
The Indonesian rider climbed from ninth on the final lap at Buriram, while compatriot Abimanyu Fermadi finished seventh.

Indonesian rider Resky Yusuf Hermawan took victory at Buriram in Thailand on 17 October in the first race of the fifth round of the 2026 Thailand Talent Cup. He finished 0.217 seconds ahead of the runner-up after overtaking from ninth place on the final lap.
Resky started on pole, with fellow Indonesian Abimanyu Fermadi eighth on the grid. Both riders, supported by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), took turns at the front but were unable to hold the lead amid close competition.
The pair slipped as low as eighth and ninth during the contest. Resky recovered to finish first with a recorded time of 1 minute 49.269 seconds, while Abimanyu ended the race in seventh.
Resky said it was his first Thailand Talent Cup victory. He credited a strategy of maintaining his rhythm before attacking on the final lap. Abimanyu said he had tried several approaches to stay with the leading riders and valued the nine points despite falling short of his intended result.
Both riders are due to contest the second race on 18 October and said they were aiming for better performances.
